I offer an optional, free, 30 minute introductory session – a time for you to ask questions and check you feel comfortable with me. If you are contacting me by phone or email, let me know if you would prefer this option.
ME, BRIEFLY
I am an experienced
transpersonal psychotherapist having worked with individuals and
couples since 1990. I consider myself privileged to accompany people for
a short time on their journey while they move through what is often
experienced as a dark and/or difficult time in their lives.
I work to build honest relationships with my clients. Approaches I use include EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). EFT is a form of Energy Psychology and can assist in quickly and
easily letting go of interfering, out-dated beliefs and emotions, and provides a life-long tool for clients.
Just some of the issues I will work with are:-
RELATIONSHIPS
STRESS AND ANXIETY
DEPRESSION
POST TRAUMATIC STRESS
ANGER MANAGEMENT |
PANIC ATTACKS
LOSS OF PURPOSE
WORKPLACE PROBLEMS
SEXUAL/EMOTIONAL ABUSE
PSYCHOSOMATIC ILLS |
DECISION MAKING
LOW SELF-ESTEEM
GRIEF AND LOSS
FEAR |
I am accredited by The
United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP), an EFT Advanced
Practitioner (EFT-ADV), and have a Diploma in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). More about me...
My practice – pictured here – is just outside Midhurst and easily accessible from Petersfield, Haslemere and Petworth.
YOU, BRIEFLY
If you have never had any
form of counselling before, the first steps in seeking some assistance
can feel difficult, but take heart in knowing that like myself, most counsellors andtherapists have had that very same experience and have gone
on to work in this field because of a great empathy for their fellow
humans.
Reaching the point of
seeking support can be pivotal in a person's life –
it signifies recognition that we are not islands and sometimes need the
reflective, non-judgmental quality of another in order to gain
perspective on ourselves. We are not people who are broken and need
fixing, but are looking for a way to connect to our own inner resources
– resources we may well be unaware of having.
