I have been counselling since 1990 and in private practice as a psychotherapist since 1995. I work with both individuals and couples at my practice near Midhurst, on the Hampshire, West Sussex and Surrey borders.

My therapeutic approach is 'integrative' (adopting different techniques or approaches) and my style is 'active' in that I clearly engage with clients.

I trained for five years as a transpersonal psychotherapist at the Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in London, graduated in 1995 and was accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) in 1996. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP).

In 2005 I introduced Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) into my practice and after time with Gary Craig (developer of EFT) in the U.S., completed my EFT Advanced Practitioner training. (EFT is both a powerful self-help and therapeutic tool.)

I have a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and use these tools to build awareness of negative thought patterns and create consequent change.

My previous career was in advertising, where I was a board director of a large, international advertising agency which provided me with a strong understanding of work-related issues.

From a great interest in relationships and their difficulties I co-authored The Mirror Cards, published in 2003 – a book and cards pack designed to help with relationship problems.

I supply telephone counselling in certain situations, using EFT as the basis. (See Telephone Counselling)

Some clients choose to work with me ongoingly to support them in their processes of growth and development, both in their personal and business lives. Many life crises can be avoided simply by developing our capacity to be aware of what we are doing and why we are really doing it.
