EFT has proven to be a tremendous tool in my therapy practice – even more powerful for the fact that so much can be done with it by the client between sessions. Its popularity is gaining steadily despite most people's initial discomfort with sitting and tapping their bodies!
A broad spectrum of professions are introducing EFT, including those in the NHS – and the wider applications in general day-to-day life, whether stress at work or training for the Olympics are being recognised.
Emotional Freedom Techniques have also proved to be an excellent way of working on the telephone with clients who cannot travel to me for sessions and whose issues are appropriate for this method.

A BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO EFT
EFT works through tapping on certain of the acupuncture points on the body whilst focusing on a statement of personal belief. Disruptive emotional blocks in the system are gently released and 'emotional freedom' experienced.
It was developed in the US by Gary Craig from earlier research done by Dr. Roger Callahan, a psychologist.
EFT can be tried on just about any emotional or physical issue, often with very fast changes occurring. It is not unusual for phobias and many aches and pains to be relieved in one or two sessions. Self-confidence and anxieties can be directly addressed without the need to understand all of the roots. EFT is a powerful self-help tool you can use wherever and whenever you need it and is particularly useful in shifting self-sabotaging behaviour.
